The Top Organic Beef Vermont Farmers Provide

By Kristen Baird

There has been a lot of talk regarding industrial agriculture, and how harmful it can be to consumers. With the rise in many chronic diseases and illnesses, many believe that it has lots to do with pesticides, among its other practices. It's very difficult to remain healthy and live a long life with questionable food sources, which has many turning to the best organic beef Vermont farmers provide.

The point of the matter is that real food has to stay real. Consider butcher shops and grocery stores, with various types of meat already packaged. Now, consider how most of these packages don't contain any bones. It's odd that most are boneless cuts. Very often, the bones end up in processed foods. Either way, it's not natural.

Bringing home a cut of meat and knowing where it comes from gives the consumer peace of mind. They know what comes from a farm, that it was allowed to roam free and eat what they are meant to eat. Mad cow disease is a result of animals being fed foods that are not meant to be a part of their menu.

A healthy cow enjoys the various types of foods meant to be in a cows diet. As such, they grow slowly, naturally, and healthily. That's how one can serve a healthy meal to their family. On the other hand, packaged meat, and especially beef actually comes from an unknown source. A small amount weighing as little as one pound can come from numerous cows.

Eating organic beef can make all the difference in providing a family the nutrients it needs. There are no steroids or antibiotics injected either into the animals or in their foods to avoid illnesses or disease. Of course, steroids are added to make the animal grow bigger, faster. This in turn, brings a greater profit to farmers.

Science doesn't belong in food. People aren't meant just to survive and grow ill over time. Instead, they need important nutrients to thrive and stay healthy. Packaged foods often contain questionable ingredients that cause free radicals, slowly but surely making them sick or over time. Hence, the increase in autoimmune diseases seen today.

Unnatural food simply isn't real. Consider not that long ago that people were actually cooking food. In this day and age, many say they are cooking when they are simply opening up of package of prepared foods and heating them up in the oven or worse, the microwave oven certainly, cooking from scratch is more time-consuming, but will pay off in the end.

Obesity has been linked to a number of questionable food sources and yes, even cuts of meat coming from industrial agriculture. For one thing, the fat in such animals is extremely unhealthy, as that is where the chemicals fed to the animals will settle. Consider not too long ago, that obesity was a rare sight, but that's no longer true. Many will argue that organic beef is much more expensive and can't afford it, in comparison to that found on grocer's shelves. The solution is to simply go for the good stuff, even if it means reducing the overall consumption of meat. Instead of eating it three or four times a week, cut it down to just once so that it suits the budget.
