The Many Benefits of Juicing and Improved Health

By Allen Fesenmyer

Decade after decade people have been talking about the many benefits of juicing. So it isn't like the public is just starting to learn about it. But the fact that people are still interested in it and talking about it should tell you something. It's also worth noting that juices have been around practically forever. Do not, however, try to simply drink juices instead of eating whole foods. There are many differences between eating and juicing and the two of them have unique appealing factors. Juicing should be done if it serves your purposes, but it's not needed if you like eating whole foods.

Whether or not you need the expensive models is for you to decide. Always remind yourself, though, that the machines all serve the same basic function. Otherwise you might wind up paying out a bunch of money for nothing extra but a brand name--the oldest marketing trick in the book. The important thing is you find something you like and can afford, and then begin juicing in earnest.

Perhaps the best health benefit of juicing is that it creates a drink that provides you with plenty of energy. It's also quite a lot more important for your body than pouring more coffee into it. If you are lucky enough to be able to juice while you are at work, this is something that can get you over that afternoon slump. So many people slow down after they eat lunch, particularly if they eat certain things. And this can be taken in later on because you are going to have a nice boost to your energy level. Never make the mistake of using juice as a substitute for a meal though. Keep this in mind and try not to rely on it as much.

Juicing is healthy for you and has certain benefits and that's generally accepted. Juicing is not, however, and should not be treated as an ad hoc replacement for the foods that you eat each day. Don't allow yourself to see it as a liquid meal because it isn't. Juices are just one more thing that is both enjoyable and good for you. Some people try to use juices for fasting, which can work out really well. If this is something that interests you, you should read more about it. You'll discover pretty quickly that some juices are built for fasting and others aren't. Things will be much easier for you if you drink the juices that are meant to go along with fasting.

Juicing gives you much more flexibility and efficiency with getting the important nutrients found in fruits and vegetables. It is also possible to fix a juice to target and center on a specific benefit that you need the most in that moment. There are people who juice to get more energy. This is precisely the sort of flexibility that you get when you juice.
